Wow I cannot believe that it is allready the middle of September. The girls will be 20 weeks this Saturday. I feel like the past 5 months have been such a blurr sometimes!! The girls are doing great. We are at 7lbs5oz for Madelyn and 6lbs 10oz for Ella!! They are so cute smiling and talking to us. They are really noticing eachother. it is so cute!! Well we have been out do do a few things lately Lisa and Jesse were here for Labor day and we

all got together. All the kids had a great time. Lori and Jay have quite the slide!! It is so FUN!! We finally got to meat Jordan! since we cannot travel there yet, plus i think i would just bring heartache to Lisa and Jesse's house right now!!WE are hoping that the girls will get to get rid of the Monitors soon!! That is happy news.....Shawn is going strong in school right now. I do not think that i could do as much as he does for school then work then the girls and then dealing with ME!! He is wonderful, sometimes i do not think that i say it enough!!

Sunday sept 23rd markes a horrible day in my(all fo our) life! It will be 3 long years since I last got to hug or kiss my precious sunshine. It is a day that marked the event, but i live through that tragic day everyday of my life! these babies are so precious, but they cannot take away the awful hole and void that is missing from my life. I know that Devon would be so proud of them and he would be so happy. I know that he is watching from above, and I am so thankful to know that, but i miss him so much and so wish that he was here for me to hold and give kisses to. I miss him more than I ever thought possible! God continue to give him a kiss for me and hold him by the hand, until i can get there!! Please continue to carry me through this life. Protect all of my precious babies!!I love you Devon, and i miss you so much!

It has been a while since we have posted, I guess we have been a little busy.....the girls are doing really good. Madelyn is up to 5lbs 12oz and Ella is at 5lbs 7oz. they are both so sweet. we are getting smiles a little more regular these days, and ocasional coos. they arer eally beginning to look around. really noticing things around them. Dr Klepper gave us the okay to go to church. that has been a really good break to be able to get out a little. and it is really nice to get to see everyone from church and just be there. but we just go to service then go on home. class we have not accomplished yet. i feel good to be getting to early service on time. we still have to keep them in except for church until they are 8lbs. they are both still on the heart monitors, but doing very well. they do not alarm much at all any more. We have made it to our house now. we lived with my mom and daddy for about 2 months after they came home from the hospital. it is good to be at home, but it is hard. we sleep some, but there are the nights we are up all night!! Shawn is off of work for now until mid August. we love to have him home with us. we just continue to pray for the health of these precious babies!!! We did go for aour first walk... Madelyn as looking around the whole time...Ella pretty relaxed!!

HOME AT LAST!!!

Well as of June 2 we are finally home. both girls are doing great. we have been here at my parents house for extra help. and trust me is is very much needed!! we are trying to get adjusted to being at home. The girls are doing great but we do stay up a lot. well really one will sleep and the other is awake. once that one goes to sleep the other wakes up!! so i get an occasional 15-30 min nap. they are both growing we went to the Dr today and Ella is at 3lbs13oz madelyn at 3lbs14oz. we were told to keep them inside with no visitors in this controlled environment until they are 8lbs. so i will be a shut in for a while. i keep thinking will i ever be at church again??? thank goodness for Jim's sermons online!! i feel very out of touch. today when we went to the Dr it was the first time i had been out of the house since we brought them home!! well i just wanted to give a small update. the pictures above are from left to right..Ella, Madelyn and in bed Madelyn on left. ..........Lord thank you so much for these wonderful babies. they are so special. please continue to keep them safe and be with them as they grow each day!! love you!

Mother's and Father's Day Presents!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello everyone, Well the day has finally come, we are the proud parents of two little girls. That is we became the parents yesterday afternoon. Just so that everyone understands why our bundles of joy are here so early, I will explain. Friday night about 8:00, we started to notice that Ella, (aka: Baby B), was not doing very well. She was dropping her heart rate into a range that was not good for her. The doctors were notified and the decision was made to watch the girls all night long. Well at about 2:30 in the morning Ella decided that she wanted to drop her heart rate three or four times fairly close to each other. The decision was then made to move Lynette to labor and delivery so that we were closer if the need arised. May 5th, 2007 at about 11:00, the need arised. The doctors spoke with us and the decision was made to take the babies for their safety and Lynette's. The girls were born at 12:12 and 12:13. Madelyn was born first. She tipped the scales at 3 pounds 3 ounces and 16 1/4 inches long. Ella however was 16 inches long and weighed in at 3 pounds 3 ounces. Both girls due to their being early needed to go to the NICU and be placed under oxygen tents to supply them with additional oxygen. Not really all that bad for 32 week twins. Today the girls are doing even better. Both girls are now feeding with a feeding tube. They are too young to feed with a bottle right now. Both girls are also on room air and doing quite well. Lynette and I have gotten to hold the girls three times today, and it is so special being able to hold your own babies. We will continue to keep everyone up to date on the status of the girls through email and our blog site. But for the time being here are some pictures of the Reeves' twins.

The pictures above are of the girls and their proud parents. Madelyn is the young lady in green and in her momma's arms. Ella is in pink and sporting her first Aggie ring with Dad.
I hope that everyone enjoys these pictures. Stay tuned for more exciting pictures to come. God will continue to bless us and the girls, and our prayer is that he will continue to watch over and help the girls and their parents through the next couple of weeks and months to come.

2weeks 4 days

It has been 2 weeks and 4 days since we were admitted to the hospital and we are still here. It is getting hard still being here, but the babies are where they need to be and are still growing. both look really good both are over 3 lbs now. I am 32 weeks 2 days. we still need some more time before they get here. my cervix continues to shorten. it is now 1 cm. today they gave me a booster steroid shot for the babies lungs. I am still having contractions but they are keeping them under control. so it is still day by day. we just continue to pray for healthy babies. I know God is taking care of them. He is taking care of me and Shawn as well.

Just laying down waiting

On Monday of this week we returned once again to see Dr Adkinson to check on these precious babies. Well the babies are great. Very Active great strong heartbeats!! They checked my cervix and everything very quickly changed. my cervix only measured 1.2cm. Dr adkinson checked to see if I had dilated and i was at a 2. They called Dr Burkholder he agreed that I should be admitted. They would not even let me go home to get clothes, I did ask!! They wheeled me straight to the antepardem unit. So here we still sit. When we got here they stared me on a medication to stop contractions. but I was not having contractions, it was a just in case things progressed. They montior the babies and for contraction 3 times a day. I did start to contract last night and still this morning. Dr. adkinson said today he will start a continious infusion to try to keep the contractions down. hopfully this will work. we have the great possibility of being here until the babies are born. everyone thinks that is a great idea. i know it is probably the safest for the babies and me if i am here, it is just hard to be stuck in the hospital when you feel okay All I pray is that these babies are okay, ane they stay put for a few more weeks. I know that God will continue to take care of us!!! We are still in his hands, we will always be in his hands.

All in God's Hands

Today we went to see Dr Adkinson for another ultrasound. the babies looked wonderful. Growing so much this time baby A is weighing 2lb 2oz. Baby B 1lb 15oz. they are great everything about them is good. they measured my cervix with abd ultrasound it was 4cm. things were great. Dr Adkinson came in looked at both babies and was very pleased. he saw the abd ultrasound of my cervix and said he wanted to see transvag because it gives a better picture. when he saw the cervix by the other ultrasound everything changed. my cervix was only about 1-1.5cm....not good!!! he did cultures to see if there may be an infection and did a test that will tell him if i am in preterm labor. after all of these test were done he looked at the cervix again. this time it was about 3 cm. we did not understand either. he slightly pushed on my abd and the cervix opened to about 2cm or so....i know very confusing. he said i have a constantly changing cervix. not good. he started steroid shots this morning to hopefully help with the development of the babies lungs. I was monitored for about 30 min to see if i was having contractions and thankfully I was not. there was one little one but that was all. We go back in the morning for another steroid shot and stress test for the babies. He said since I was not contracting, i could go home and not on strict bed rest but to stay off my feet. and not to do lots of walking if any at all. he would continue to monitor the babies at least twice weekly. we are very hopeful that these babies will stay where they are and my body will cooperate to help keep them where they are for at least 4 more weeks. really 8 weeks would be better!! Just wanted to let you know and say a prayer for us that God will just continue to watch over us and these babies!! I know that everything is in God's hands and it has been in his hands from the beginning. He is taking care of these babies and myself. and we put all of our faith in Him. Please Lord just protect these precious babies. We love you!!

Growing Babies

Well we went to the Dr on Monday for another ultrasound. Things looked great. Both babies growing like they should. One baby weighed 1lb 8oz the other 1lb 5oz. Right on track for them being 25 weeks. Baby A has turned and is now head up. So the babies are head to head so they can look at each other. We decided that baby A was getting tired if getting kicked in the face and wanted to see who was doing the kicking! My cervix is good so no bed rest. That is wonderful news. I was told to keep doing what I am doing!! So that is what we are doing. The top picture is Baby A who I am thinking might be Madelyn, she is SOOOO active. Always moving, I think maybe a lot like her Daddy! Bottom picture is baby B, who I am thinking might be Ella. She is SOOOO non active. she will move around but nothing like A. I think that she is pretty calm, like me! Funny how I can already tell differences in them. Amazing! God is so amazing. these are 2 wonderful miracles from above, that i am so thankful for. I just pray for God to continue to watch over them!!

Shawn is doing good just really busy. School is going good, just taking lots of time! And they are really busy at work as well. But he is managing to find plenty of time to help me try to get things ready for these babies! I am so thankful for him . God has blessed me tremendously in the past 2 1/2 years when I did not think that it would ever be possible!! God continue to watch over all of us!!

Important week

This week is going to be a really important week!! We will go for an ultrasound on Wednesday morning to hopefully find out what the other baby is. We will be seeing Dr Adkinson. He will also make sure that everything is looking good. Like the heart, lungs and all other major organs. A very exciting day but at the same time makes me a little nervous, just anxious to know that they are okay, every part of them!! So I guess prayers that everything will be okay and both of the babies sex will be known!! Maybe after this ultrasound I will quit worrying so much!! I just do not want anything to happen!! I pray for 2 very healthy babies!! We will also see our OB this week as well.
Shawn is going strong with the masters program!! Doing VERY well, but that does not surprise me. He is so intelligent. I love him so much!! He is also taking on organizing the prop room at church! Which is a HUGE job!! He is also helping me to try to get the babies room kind of ready!! He is doing lots of jobs these days. He is so sweet!!
Lord I pray that you will be with these babies each and every day, and we will be the parents that you have called us to be. Keep them safe.

Babies 16 weeks

Well it has been a while since we have posted anything. I am taking over Shawn's job for now. I guess that we have been through Christmas since he last posted. We had a really good Christmas with all of our family. Lisa and Jesse were here for a week during the holidays so we were able to spend a lot of time with them. Jonathan and Jadon are getting really big. Jadon is walking around every where and just so cute....All of the kids had a really good time together. Shawn and I are still watching my belly grow daily as these twins continue to grow so fast. I worry how big that my belly will get. Both babies are doing great. Both growing as they should be. the pictures that i have put up this time were at 16 weeks. Baby A moves all the time. Baby B i believe likes to sleep, seems very calm.....Shawn is getting started in the masters program. I am so very proud of him. He continues to work and constantly making sure that i am okay and that the babies are okay. He is so sweet to me. although he does stay on me about eating enough for the 3 of us!!! He just wants to make sure that we are all getting enough to eat!! I love him so much. I am so Blessed to have him. I thank God for him everyday!! Well i hope that the next time we post we will be telling you what the sex of both babies are. Hope that the new year is happy for everyone!! ........ Top picture is Baby B , Bottom picture baby A..Baby B head is to the right femur on the left.. both just so cute!!!!

It's been a while?!!!

Family Picture:

Yes, I know that it has been a while since our last posting. Well to be exact it will have been almost a month since the last update. So with that said there is a lot of ground that we need to cover.

Today is December 19th. I guess that the best way to review the past month is to start back at the first. Our last posting was on 11/20. That posting dealt with a scary situation involving Lynette and the babies. I am glad to report that the very next day everything was just fine and the babies continued to just grow and grow.
November 22nd marded the 9 week mark. What a wonderful Thanksgiving. Lynette and I both had to work so our Thanksgiving was spent together with my family after we had both gotten off of work. Everyone was so excited about seeing the babies. The constant question of when will we find out the sexes was being asked. Mema and Pappi are so excited about the arrival of the two new grandchildren. It is very difficult for them to hold in their joy and excitment.
November 24th:
What another wonderful day!! My Aggies went into Austin and just completely ruined any national championship hopes of those teasips. What a glorious day in Aggieland!!

WHOOP!!!!

Lynette and I had several serious conversations during the weekend of the 25th and 26th. What were we going to do about her job situation. Should she continue to work and just go part time or should she stop working completly at this time. Part of me wanted her to stop completely and part of me wanted her to continue to work (because I worry about her so much when she is at home by herself). Well the decision was made for her to just go part time, and that she would tell her nurse manager on Monday November 27th.
November 27th: Lynette called me on the floor today crying. She had just spoken with her nurse manager, and things did not go well at all. It is not a good situation when someone makes my wife cry because I get very upset about that. Well needless to say I calmed down and Lynette and I made, I think, a very wise decision. Late that afternoon, Lynette went into her nurse manager's office and told her that her last day at work would be December 7th. We are really stepping out in faith here. This has been my desire and wish ever since I could remember that my wife be a stay at home mother. Thank you Lord for opening the doors and giving us the faith to walk through those doors. I almost feel like Peter stepping out of the boat. We just have to keep our eyes on Christ. He will provide, he always has and always will!!!!
December 7th and 9th:
These were big days for myself. No longer do I not have a nursing degree. I am a graduate. In addition to my degree from Texas A&M, I have added a degree from Lubbock Christian University in the field of Nursing. The 7th was the pinning ceremony and the 9th was the graduation ceremony. What a blessing it was to have my family with me, and to graduate with my Uncle during the same ceremony. My education does not stop at this point. I am currently enrolled in the Master's of Nursing program at LCU, and I will begin that journey in January.
December 13th:
December 13th marked the final week of the first trimester. Wow that flew by quick!! Just thought I would share some very important news: TWIN A is a BOY!!! (Whoop!!) I can not believe that I will be a daddy. This is so amazing. Thank you God for your amazing love and design of life. Thank you for my wife, Lynette, and for the two babies that she is carrying. Twin B was being very modest on the last ultrasound so I am starting to believe that Twin B might be a little girl. If so she already has me wrapped around her finger.
I will post pictures of the graduation as soon as I get them from my Sister-in-law. I will post another time today the 19th of December after we go to the Dr. at 2:30.

Twin A:

Twin B:

I want to finish this post by saying a pray:

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for my wife, Lynette, and for the two babies that she is carrying. You have blessed us beyond belief. I pray that you will be with Lynette, that you will protect her and keep her healthy during the pregnancy. Father, be with the two babies that she is carrying. Protect them in Lynette and help them to grow strong and healthy. Father, we know that children are a gift from you, and I pray that you will help Lynette and I to continuily turn over our lives and their lives to you. Lord, we give these children to you and pray that they will wish to follow you throughout their lives. Help me to be the Father and Spiritual leader that you have called me to be so that my wife and children may see your love of them through me. Thank you Father for families and friends that love and care for all of us. I pray that you will bless each and everyone. Father thank you again for our two babies, and for my wife, Lynette.
I Love You!!
Amen

Scare??!!!!!

Tuesday November 14th was not a good day for Lynette and I. Lynette called me in a panic late that evening while she was finishing up work. She thought that something was wrong with the babies. I asked her to call the Dr. and that I would be on my way to the hospital to pick her up. In just under 15 minutes, I was at the hospital picking up my very upset wife at this point. She had spoken with the Dr. and they had informed her that she needed to drop everything and go home and put her feet up. Well that is exactly what we did. As soon as we got home Lynette was in bed with her legs elevated.
Wednesday morning we got good news as we had another ultrasound and it showed that the babies where both okay. We actually could not believe how much that the babies had grown in the short amount of time from Friday the 10th to Wednesday the 14th. In addition to how much they had grown, we also saw them move for the first time. What a neat and exciting experience.
Well we are headed to the Dr. again tomorrow for another check up. Please keep all 4 of us in your prayers.

Week 7

Week 7:

November 10th:

We went to the Doctor today. The big news is in, WE ARE HAVING TWINS!! We were able to see the little raspberries for the first time. I say raspberries because they are about that size right now. Twin A, which I think is a boy, is 1 cm in length with a heart rate of 130 beats per minute. Twin B, which I think is a girl, is 0.8 cm in length with a heart rate of 123 beats per minute. Lynette is feeling fine right now. Thankfully she has not been sick so far during the pregnancy. However, she is feeling quite tired, but that is to be expected when you are carrying two babies. She sure does look pretty being pregnant. Thank you God for a wonderful wife, and for blessing us with two more babies.

Our First Blog

We are really new at this so bear with us. Shawn thought it would be fun to start a blog. I told him about Lisa having one and he thought it was a really neat idea.
Just in case everyone has not heard, we are going to have a baby!!!! This is a really exciting, nerve racking, I really have know idea yet at least that's what everyone keeps telling me, fun, happy, and sad time for us as a family. However we know that right now we have been blessed with one maybe two, three, or four gifts from God. Any number of children would be fine, well that is if Jesse and Lisa move back to Lubbock when we have four, because we want Devon to have a brother or sister. We know that he is already very happy, and I know that he would want us to share our love with his brother or sister.
As of this past Wednesday, October 25th, we are five weeks along in this 40 week campaign. We ask that each of you pray for Lynette and her health as well as the health of the baby or babies. The second big day will be coming up very soon. We'll call that day Determination Day, November 10, because this will be the day that we find out just how many the Lord is going to bless our family with, or how nervous and scared I'll be.
We will keep everyone informed!!
